Waiting 'Round The Bend

Everybody has a favorite song, a song that will remind us of a time in our life. a song that can bring back all those memories and maybe just maybe it can even give us chance to go back in time. when i was browsing youtube i came across a familiar song a song that i really like.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,

_

and everytime i hear that song i close my eyes and i could see my father teaching me my how to draw. he used to love taht song at lagi nya itong pina tutugtog kapag tinuturuan nya akong gumuhit, kaya tinanong ko sya "tay bakit hindi mo na pinatutugtog yung moon river" sabi nya hindi daw maganda pakinggan ang moon river sa cd mas maganda daw pakinggan ito sa plaka at turn table.

when i was in college i heard someone playin that song, na gulat ako meron pa palang nakakaalam ng song na yun at my generation. nilapitan ko sya it was kuya mario rubio a good composer and a mucisian. so i asked him "kuya mario ano ba ibig sabihin ng kantang yan?". bata palang ako eh kinakanta ko na ito pero mag pa sa hanggang ngayun hindi ko parin alam kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng nilalaman ng kanta. according to many forums na nabasa ko. its about Mississippi river they use to call it moon river, and huckleberry friend is huckleberry fin a friend of tom sawyer. BUT according to kuya mario the song is about DEATH the river represents death, dream maker represents the grim reaper. and he told me that someday he will also cross that river in style.....

kaya ngayon pag na ririnig ko ang kantang yan na aalala ko rin si kuya mario. asan na kaya sya ngayon? i hope you made it in style on the other side of the river.

at kung ako naman ang ma unang tumawid.... ill be on the other side of the rainbow's end waiting 'round the bend.
